Some people believe that science and faith are two diametrically opposed subjects. Others believe in a personal faith that they refuse to subject to scientific inquiry. Some reject science altogether as anti-Christian.
Science is embraced by the Orthodox Church with the caveat that it is approximate "Truth." The state of scientific knowledge is ever changing - new discoveries being made, old ideas being discarded. The tenets of faith, however, do not change, although our understanding of certain precepts or practices may evolve.
It is an exciting time to believe in God for those who value science. Discoveries in physics, astronomy, biology, anthropology, history, etc. are pointing to faith in a Divine Source like never before. While it is folly to base a faith on science or sensory information alone, explore how science can complement our beliefs and freshen our insights!
