Internationalal Conference to be
held in Dallas Nov 19th and 20th
This year's fall conference theme
"Faith, the source of our strength" was chosen by the Southern
Regional Leaders and is meant to address the great number of
tragedies that have recently occurred. What is our reaction to pain
and suffering? How are we to cope as believers in a "good" Supreme
Deity? Join us as we investigate these matters, and have a rewarding
time of fellowship. To be hosted by St. Ignatious Church, Carrollton
(Dallas) Texas.
Ruho.org to go international!
As the new year approaches, we hope to present the
resource that is Ruho.org to the entire USA Archdiocese and Orthodox
believers around the world. We plan to launch a systematic Bible
Study based on the Gospel of Mathew. Every two weeks, a new chapter
will be presented. A key design element is your feedback and
questions, which will be reviewed and answered by one of many of the
church's learned scholars! This is a magnificent opportunity to
delve deeply into faith matters- please plan on prayerfully
participating! We hope to compile our studies and questions and
submit them for publication. We have been waiting for this level of
study for a while! The introductory notice is posted in this week's
edition.
Meet the youth at St. Peter's SOC
Church, Houston
Dn. Zach Varghese made a visit to St.
Peter's SOC Church, Houston, the Archdiocese's newest parish, to
explore youth development opportunities. The Vicar, Chorepiscopos
Dr. Thomas Itty, welcomed him on Sept. 18 and Oct. 9th, 2005. Mr.
Johnny Abraham is the Youth Coordinator. We had meetings on both
Sundays, the latter being an extensive one with purposeful
discussions. The entire Archdiocese looks forward to the valued and
full participation of St. Peter's Youth Association. Pictures to
