Albuquerque area holds first church
service
On Saturday, February 11, 2006, Rev. Fr. George Parathuvayalil
conducted the Holy Qurbana and started the new parish. For more

The members of St. Peter's Syriac Orthodox Church of
Houston celebrated Very Reverend Dr. Thomas Itty's Silver Jubilee
celebrations of his priestly ordination on Saturday, January 21st
and Sunday, January 22nd, 2006. On Saturday evening, there was
prayer followed by speakers whom were invited from several parishes.
Next, Achen was presented with a plaque and a gold chain on behalf
of the parish, and then the entertainment programs were performed.
On Sunday morning, the Munnumel Holy Qurbana Service was conducted
by the Archbishops Abraham Mor Severios, Mathews Mor Ivanios, and
Yeldho Mor Theethose.

Regional Leadership Conference March 17-19
prototype for Archdiocesan Leadership Conference
The Southern Region is planning a youth leadership conference at
Lakeview Retreat Center in Waxahachie, Texas. This will be a model for an
Archdiocesan wide youth leadership meeting. Many topics, from
spiritual focus to church organization will be considered. MGSOSA
leaders are expected to attend. Registration deadline is
February 12, 2006.
