The purpose of life is...?

Eternity: This is in regards to Question 5 of October 2nd, 2005. I am answering the questions in a different order though. I have thought about eternity. Time is marked by God's creation of the sun, by which its concealing night comes. God lives in eternity. He's infinite, but He became finite through the incarnation of our Lord Jesus.

Right now, on the earth, we need to work for the building up of the church and the Body of Christ. We need to have this vision to produce the Body. For so long, many Christians have had the vision of "I." "I want to go to heaven. I want to be a [so-called] good Christian. I want...I want...I want...." No. We should stop this concept. Instead, we should have the vision of the Body and what He wants. He wants a corporate man to express Him and become the perfected Bride our Lord desires. Christ's Bride is the Church. And, we need to come to this realization. I noticed in the October 2nd Bible Study, the city has been recognized as the church. We are the church--all who believe into Lord Jesus. And we have much work to do. Do you express God?

I have come to realize, by being a believer, that there are only two kingdoms on this earth. The kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of heaven. This is it. There is no inbetween as some think there are. You are either in the kingdom of darkness or the kingdom of light (heaven). No one can be in both. In order to arrive into the kingdom of heaven one must be regenerated by beleiving into Lord Jesus and calling upon His name. Jesus Christ is life! Praise the Lord! The only way to walk in a manner worthy of God is not just to live for Christ or live by Christ. We must live Christ. "How can we do this?" you may ask. We should become like Him. Have His life and nature as our life and nature. We do not need to be good. Good people do not necessarily meet the requirement to enter into God's kingdom. In order to be a Christian, we must not just be good men, we must be God-men. I believe Athanasius brought this reality to the church, that we must be God in life and nature but not in the Godhead. We must die to the self daily and take on the aromatic virtues and attributes of Christ.

Today, if you go to work, school, or etc, I do not doubt that you do not see much life there. High school may sometimes be "the valley of the shadow of death." Before one believes into the Lord, this one is dead. This person may have the physical, human life, but not the life of God, the eternal life.

In conclusion, it's not very complicated to be a Christian. We need to have the vision of the Body. And, life is simply Jesus. So live life.

The purpose of life is to build the Body of Christ, the church, like the Crazy Lover of Jesus said above. Not the physical building but the people. To build up the Body does not merely include an increase in the amount of members in the Body but also an increase of the content of God within the Body. Once the Body, the Bride of Christ, is perfected, then the end will come. Although, none of us know that day yet.
